Audio
Import WAV files into a stage to create sounds for your project.
Import and preview
- Open or create a stage.
- Choose Assets → Import WAV as New Sound… and select your files.
- Choose a unique namespace, check the sound names, and adjust playback settings.
- Preview the WAV and select Convert and Add to Stage.
- Manage the imported sounds in Assets → Stage Audio Library….
Each sound has Play and Stop events. You can adjust volume, looping, whether sound is positional, distance, and fade times. The local preview does not simulate all in-game audio behavior.
Connect a sound to gameplay
In a zone graph, select a trigger and choose Sound. Select the sound event and an appropriate actor, then check the trigger and target before adding it. Play and Stop must target the same sound-capable actor; looping sounds need a way to stop.
Update and export
Use the Stage Audio Library to change settings, replace a WAV, or remove a sound. Choose Apply Settings to save playback changes and Verify Audio to check your stage before export. Review any references before removing a sound, and keep a complete backup of your authoring stage.
Audio from different mods can conflict if they replace the same event lookup. Test triggers, looping, positioning, and the exported package in game before sharing it.
